APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Duke Power Company License No. CPPR-84 McGuire Nuclear Station Based on the NRC inspection September 4-7, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V and implemented by DPC Topical Report, paragraph 17.1.5 activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings...and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Contrary to the above, Conduit Box stiffenings were installed on safety related motors without approved drawings. The stiffenings were. installed on the centrifugal charging pump motor which is safety related.
This is an Infraction.
