APPENDIX _A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company License No. DPR-57 Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant NPF-5 Based on the NRC inspection October 16-19 and 23, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requiremersts as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Section 5.6 of the Environmental Technical Specifications, detailed written procedures shall be prepared and 'iollowed for all activities involved in impleaenting the ETS.
Contrary to the above, the tempercture of the weather station building was greater than 75 F and the air conditioner was not functioning properly as required by procedure HNP-7900, paragraph 4.a.
In addition, contrary to paragraph 4.j of the same procedure, it was observed that a difference of more than 20 existed between the top and bottom wind direction indicators and the required additional checks were not perfo rmed.
This is a deficiency.
