Dear Mr. Jones:

We are currently reviewing the adequacy of the offsite pcwer systems of nuclear power plants and in particular, the loss of offsite power events at Brunswick Unit No.1.

One aspect of this review concerns the history of experienced total and partial power outages and attendent degraded voltage or frequency conditions of the grid.

In our review of this matter we have drawn uoan the infomation provided to us via Licensee Event Mports and followup letters which have been sent to us.

Our records do not indicate that you have experienced any loss of offsite power events either completely or partially. Please review your experiences and, if any are identified, then report them in answer to this letter and furnish the related infomation as included in the enclosure.

Please provide your response for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Unit No.1 to us within 90 days of the receipt of this letter.
