NOV 21 B76 APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Carolina Power and Light Co.
License Nos. DPR-71 DPR-62 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on September 25-27, 1978, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in our correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
Appendix B, Technical Specification 5.3.1, requires written procedures be developed, implemented and maintained to implement the Appendix B requirements. In addition, Specification 5.3.1 states quality assurance procedures will be developed for analysis of samples.
Contrary to the above, on September 26, 1978, the licensee did not have a written procedure for the ND6600 gamma spectroscopy system nor was the licensee adhering to RC&T radiochemistry procedure requirements in RC&T procedures #5102, #5103, #5201, #5203, #5302, v5304, and
- 5401, in that the licensee was not calibrating equipment with newly prepared calibration solutions.
