NE review of your Bulletin 79-14 response and request for an extension until February 22, 1980 has been completed.
Based upon a telephone conve.sation between Mr. McCabe of this office and Mr. Knubel of your staff on October 24, 1979, we understand that the following will be accomplished:
a.
Operations without completion of Item 3 of Bulletin 79-14 will not extend beyond January 11, 1980.
b.
A full and complete report will be submitted per the requirements of Bulletin 79-14 before February 23, 1980.
c.
If the seismic qualification of any safety system piping or component is shown to be improper, the plant will be placed in the cold shutdown condi-tion either within 7 days of identification of any such uncorrected item or as specified in the Technical Specifications, whichever is less.
a.
Should such a shutdown (item c. above) occur, the facility will remain in the cold shutdown condition until corrective action on the identified component is completed.
