APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Duke Power Company License Nos. DPR-38, Oconee DPR-47 and DPR-55 Based on the NRC inspection August 6-10, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by 10 CFR 20.203(c)(2), each entrance or access point to a high radiation area shall be maintained locked except during period when access to the area is required, with positive control over each individual entry.
Contrary to the above, on August 6,1979, positive control over each individual entry was not maintained in that a set of keys (number 144) was found in the door leading to the waste gas decay tank room. The keys could have been used to gain access to a number of high radiation areas in the auxiliary building.
This is an infraction. A similar item was brought to your attention in our letter dated December 12, 1978.
