This refers to the meeting conducted at our request in the NRC Region II Office
on November 30, 1979. The meeting was requested in our October 25, 1979, letter
to you and is related to activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-38,
DPR-47 and DPR-55 for Oconee Unit Nos. 1, 2 and 3.
The meeting was attended by
members of my staff and W. O. Parker, Jr., H. B. Tucker, K. S. Canady and
J. E. Smith of your company.
The subjects discussed at this meeting are described in the enclosed Inspection
Report, 50-269/79-40, 50-270/79-37 and 50-287/79-39.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and has provided for better
communications and understanding of inspection and enforcement issues.
In
accordance with Section 2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10,
Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and enclosure will be placed
in the NRC's Public Document Room.
