On June 13, 1978, the Comission issued Operating License NPF-5 for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 (Hatch 2). As required by 10 CFR 170.21, an operating license fee of $1,024,500 was paid for the issuance of the operating license.
In accordance with Foctnote 3 of Section 170.21, the costs incurred in the processing and issuance of the Hatch 2 operating license have been reviewed and they substantially exceed the maximum fee of $1,024,500 prescribed by the Commission's regulations. Since the maximum fee prescribed by regulation for an operating license has been paid, no additional operating license fee is required for Hatch 2.
