1977) integrated leak rate tests.both failed to meet. the applicable acceptance criteria, the test.sebedule. applicable to subsequent tests.

basis of our review have concluded.that.certain. changes in your test procedures and the schedule for_ periodic. integrated. leak rate tests.
are appropriate.

With respect to the test pro'edures. utilized.at TMI-1, we conclude that c
the procedures should be modified.to facilitate the identification of.
excessive local leakage, leakage.into 1Dternal.volumas, ingassing and.
diurnal effects.

With respect to the schedule for.perfonnance.of integrated leakage rate.
tests at THI-1, we conclude that an. integrated. leakage rate test.is needed during the 1978 refueling. outage...This. test is.in addition to those already required by TMI-l. Specification 4.4.1.1.5 and should be considered a replacement for the test. performed in April 1977..
