Gentlemen:
Thank you for your letter of August 14, 1979, informing us of steps you
have taken to correct the items of noncompliance concerning activities
under NRC Operating License Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5 brought to your attention
in our letter of July 20, 1979. We will examine your corrective actions
and plans pertaining to Items t. and B during subsequent inspections.
Regarding Item C, we have reevaluated our position and concur with your
response that the surveillance interval of the Core Spray Auto Actuation
test was within the tolerance permitted by the facility technical specifi-
cations. Therefore, we conclude that noncompliance did not occur as stated
in our letter to you.
Our records will be adjusted accordingly.
With regard to the discussion pertaining to Technical Specification 4.0.4
held with your staff by H. C. Dance on Sepcember 14, 1979, we understand
that you have taken steps to address this requirement.
Should you have any questions concerning this letter, we will be glad to
discuss them with you.
