Region I Management Meeting, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1, 50-293/79-17 This refers to the management meeting held at this office on September 5, 1979 at your request relating to the violation of containment integrity which occurred on June 12, 1979.
The subjects discussed during this meeting are included in the Office of Inspection and Enforcement Meeting Summary which is enclosed with this letter.
It is our view that this meeting was effective in connunicating to you our concerns related to this occurrence, and our understanding of your plans for the operation of that plant. We understand that corrective actions are in progress in the areas discussed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
