This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. A. Varela of this office
on June 16-17, 25-26, 1975 at Middletown, Pennsylvania (Three Mile
Island 2) of activities authorized by NRC License No. CPPR-66 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Varela with Mr. Stromberg of

your staff at the conclusion of the inspection, and to a subsequent
telephone discussion between Mr. Varela and Mr. Stro= berg on July 7,
1975.
Areas exa=ined during this inspection are described in the Office of
Inspection and Enforce =ent Inspection. Report which is enclosed with this
letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, measurements made by the inspector, and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance vera
observed. However, certain activities appear to be deviatione from
appropriate codes, standards, or guides, as set forth in the Notice of

Deviation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.
With respect to these

deviations, please submit to this office within thirty (30) days of your

receipt of this notice, a written statement of erplanation in reply,
including,, a descriptica of any steps tha:: have been or vill be taken to
correct them, a desc 3ption of any steps that have been or vill be taken
to prevent recurrence, and the date all corrective actions or preventive

measures were or vill be completed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice", Part
2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the
enclosures vill be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
If this
report contains any infor=ation that you (or yt.ar contractor) believe to
be proprietary, it is necessary that you make a written application
