Title:

Notice of Category 3 Public Meeting to Discuss the Proposed Rulemaking to Align the Regulations in 10 CFR Parts 50 and 52, to Address Updates to the Licensing Processes, and Lessons Learned for Future New Reactor Applications Date(s) and Time(s): January 15, 2019, 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM Location: NRC One White Flint North, Commission Hearing Room 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD Category: This is a Category 3 meeting. Public participation is actively sought for this meeting to fully engage the public in a discussion of regulatory issues.

Purpose:

To discuss the scope of a rulemaking approved by the Commission in the Staff Requirements Memorandum (ADAMS Accession No. ML15266A023) for SECY-15-0002, Proposed Updates of Licensing Policies, Rules and Guidance for Future New Reactor Applications (ADAMS Accession No. ML13277A420). The staff would like to engage with the public to solicit ideas that the NRC should consider for this rulemaking.
