Dear Mr. Padgett:

By letter (LES-18-089-NRC) dated September 13, 2018, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML18262A215), Louisiana Energy Services, LLC dba URENCO USA (UUSA), submitted an addition to the existing Nuclear Criticality Safety Validation Report and an amendment to the UUSA Safety Analysis Report for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review and approval. Your request has been assigned Enterprise Project Identifier L-2018-LLA-0270. Please reference this number in any future correspondence associated with this request.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. A complete review of this submittal may identify issues that require additional information.

Based on our preliminary review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our review by the end of May 2019. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, we estimate that completing the review will require approximately 220 staff hours.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy is available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS.
