Enclosure 4 to E-51535 Additional Changes Not Associated with the RSIs and Observations Page 1 of 1 TN is requesting minor changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) that are unrelated to the request for supplemental information (RSI) and observation questions. The requested changes are discussed in the following sections of this enclosure.
- 1.
Changes to the TS 1.1 Revise the 3rd paragraph in the Heat Load Zone Configuration and Fuel Qualification portion of TS Section 2.1 - Fuel to be Stored in the EOS-37PTH DSC, and TS Section 2.2 - Fuel to be Stored in the EOS-89BTH DSC. and rearrange the order of paragraphs 2 and 3 in each of those sections.
Clarify the maximum allowable heat load discussion as follows:
The maximum allowable heat loads may be reduced based on the thermal analysis methodology in the UFSAR. However, the maximum decay heat for each FA shall not exceed the values specified in the aforementioned figures.
1.2 Revise TS Section 4.2.2 - Storage Pad - to reinsert and edit a statement regarding the location having no potential for liquefaction.
The following statement was inadvertently deleted in the Amendment 1, Revision 0 submittal and is being reinserted as the 2nd paragraph of this section:
The storage pad location shall have no potential for liquefaction at the site-specific SSE level earthquake.
In addition to reinserting this statement, the phrase SSE level earthquake is edited to safe shutdown earthquake (SSE) level.
Because this change is not part of the Amendment 1 scope, but rather corrects an inadvertent omission of unchanged information, only the edits described are tracked in the enclosed TS file.
