Letter McNeil (PSE&G) to Noonan, NRC dated December 30, 1986 The NRC staff has reviewed PSE&G's submittals (Ref. 1 and 2) that forwarded the Procedures Generation Package (PGP) and revised writer's guide.
The staff finds that the program described in the submittals is deficient in some respects. These deficiencies, if not corrected, could impair your ability to develop and maintain high quality Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
The staff's findings are discussed in detail in the enclosed Safety Evaluation (SE).
It is requested that you revise your PGP to reflect the concerns identified in.
the SE, or provide justification why such revisions are not necessary.
As stated in the SE, submission of the revised PGP or justifications is not required.
However, it is requested that the schedule for revising the PGP and performing the EOP review based on the revised PGP be provided within 60 days of receipt of this letter. The reporting and/or record keeping requirements of this lette~ affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore OMB clearante is not required under P.L.96-511.
