This letter transmits the findings of the routine, resident safety inspection
conducted by Mrs. Kathy Halvey Gibson and Mr. Stephen M. Pindale from July 25,
1989 to September 4, 1989, at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station.
The
findings were discussed with Mr. Lynn K. Miller of your staff.
Within the scope of this inspection, the inspectors did not find any violations.
No reply to this letter is required.
The letter also acknowledges receipt of your response to the violation cited
in the NRC Inspection Report 50-272/89-11.
Your concerns and corrective
actions regarding this issue will be addressed by separate correspondence.
