Inspection Report No. 87-38
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Kenneth G. Murphy of
this office on December 21-23, 1987 of activities authorized by NRC License
No. DPR-70 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Murphy with
Mr. William Treston at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described jn the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviewswith personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, n6 violations were observed.
However, a
concern was raised regarding the availability of the Containment Fan Cooler
Units as a consequence of the units tripping during the Containment Integrated
Leak Rate Test.
Management attention to this concern is warranted.
