SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM (SPDS) PRE-IMPLEMENTATION AUDIT REPORT FOR SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 At the request of Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), the staff with the assistance of consultants from Science AP.plications International Corporation (SAIC) and Comex, conducted a Pre-Implementation Audit of the SPDS for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 during December 4-6, 1985.
Enclosed is the SAIC audit report. The staff agrees with the findings and recommendations contained in this report.
Given the numerous open issues identified during the audit, at least one more audit of the SPDS will be required before PSE&G declares the SPDS to be operational.
