D. Fischer, LB-:.i C. Parrish, LB-1 LFMB Reactor File LFMB Pending Check File LFMB R/F RDiggs, LFMB By letters dated December 27, 1982, May 5, 1983, October 15, 1984 and October 17, 1984, the Division of Licensing (DL) staff informed your Company of their approval of your application dated October 5, 1982, and issued Amendment Nos.

50, 52, 57 and 58 to License No. DPR-70 and Amendment Nos. 20, 26 and 27 to License No. DPR-75 for the Salem Nuclear Generating Station Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

This application proposed certain Technical Specification changes relating to (1) the borated water system for Unit No. 1, (2) the partial power multiplier for Unit Nos. 1 and 2, (3) the main steam line isolation valves for Unit Nos.

1 and 2, and (4) the reactor coolant system water inventory balance for Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

A Class IV fee ($12,300) was remitted with your application pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 of the March 23, 1978 regulations.

Based on information provided by the DL staff as the result of their final review of your application, it has been determined that for item (1) above which relates to Unit No. 1 only a Class III fee ($4,000) is appropriate because the review involved consideration of a single safety issue.

A Class IV fee ($12,300) and a Class I fee ($400) are appropriate for the remaining items in the October 5 application since the review involved consideration of several single safety issues and pertained to both units.

In summary, your Company is requested to remit the additional sum of $4,400 to this office to complete the fees for your October 5, 1982 application.

Sincerely, Reba M. Diggs Facilities Program Coordinator License Fee Management Branch Office of Administration OFF'ICE)a>-
