consumers Power company General Offices: 1945 West Parnall Road, Jackson, Ml 49201 *.{517) 768-0550 December 20, 1984 Operating Reactors Branch No 5 Nuclear Reactor Regulation US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 LICENSE DPR-20 PALISADES PLANT DECAY HEAT REMOVAL CAPABILITY MULTIPLANT ACTION NUMBER B57 NRC L.etter dated June 26, 1984, "Decay Heat Removal Capability* Multiplant Action Number B57," requests Consumers Power Company to justify or revise the Palisades Plant Technical Specifications, by August 10, 1984, such that they meet the intent of the Combustion Engineering Standard Technical Specifications regarding decay heat removal capabilities.
Consumers Power Company letter dated August 10, 1984, notified that a response, including proposed changes to certain Technical Specifications would be submitted to the NRC by the end of December, 1984.
This letter is to notify you of the need for an additional delay in responding to your June 26, 1984 letter.
A response will be submitted by the end of March, 1985.
This additional delay is due to substantial personnel changes within Consumers Power Company and the complete reorganization of the General Office Nuclear Operations and Plant staffs.
