2.1.6 Concrete Expansion Fasteners Drill four 3/8-inch holes using the drilling pattern of drawing 9423. Panel location shall be as referenced on drawing 9361. The hole required for the anchor shall be the same diameter as the anchor and is to be dri 11 ed 1 /2-i nch deeper than the 1ength of the anchor. Excess
*concrete dust shall be removed from the hole as much as is practical, either by repeated insertion and withdrawal of the rotating dril 1, or by blowing into the base of the hole with compressed air and through a small tube.
Pl ace panel over drilled holes and install four anchors. To install the anchor, back off the nut until the tapered end of the bolt just protrudes above the nut. Set the device to be fastened over the hole drilled for the fastener, and start the anchor into the hole. Drive the anchor in with a hammer until the nut and washer bottom against the device being fastened. Tighten the nut with a wrench to set the anchor and secure the fastened device. Nonnally this requires three to five turns. 2.2 New Conduit All conduit shall be rigid, galvanized steel with threaded fittings. New conduits shall be utilized where tray space is not available. Signal 1 11 cables require approximately 75 of 2 conduit to run from tray XUlll on the south side of the cable spreading room to the floor access hole beneath the Pressurizer Relief Valve Position Indication Panel. This run will contain 5 twisted shielded pair cables; a galvanized steel pull wire shall be installed and left in place. Reference Drawing 9359. Annunciator and 125 VAC power cables will be run together through a l 11 conduit from Hl20 to the fl oar access hole beneath the Pressurizer Relief Valve Position Indication Panel.
