1 - DOCKET NO.50-000 CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW ADDITIONALINFORMATION
Dear Mr. Denton:
Carolina Power dc Light Company (CPRL) hereby submits additional information concerning the SHNPP Control Room Design Review (CRDR) Program.
This information was requested per discussions with Dr. Saba N. Saba and provides the level of detail required for the NRC to adequately assess the SHNPP CRDR Program.
The topics covered by the attachments are listed below:
MCB Light Box Readability CR Color Code Matrix AEP-1 Review Annunciator Light Box (ALB-15016) Drawing EOP-EPP-1 EOP-EPP-15 Discussion of MCB design changes prior to the design freeze The dyna-tape currently on the the Control Room control panels willbe replaced during the control panel enhancement phase.
The yellow and green "dots" noted on the AEP-1 photos are dyna-tape indications for the Control Room operators.
These willalso be replaced during the panel enhancements.
The ~ellow tape signifies "Safety Injection" while the green signifies "Feedwater Isolation.
'urther enhancement/demarcation of the Pressurizer and Reactor Head Vent Valve Controls on AEP-1 is under consideration.
Changes made willbe consistent with the MCB design and applicable Human Factors criteria.
