Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant DSER Open Item Steam Generator Modifications Address the revisions to the FSAR which willresult from the proposed steam generator modifications as required in section 5.5 of NUREG-1014, "Safety Evaluation Report of the Modification to Westinghouse D4/DS/E Steam Generators".
Specifically address:
1.
Transient analysis margins 2.
Tube plugging margin 3.
First cycle inspection interval
Response
With regard to transient analysis margins, CP6L does not anticipate any impact on the results/conclusions of the current Chapter 15 analyses.
Minor changes will be required and specific analyses will be redone to update the final safety analysis report in light of the proposed steam generator modifica-tions.
This will be done and the FSAR will be amended by June 1984.
Tube plugging margin will be addressed in the SHNPP Technical Specifications.
These are scheduled for submittal to the NRC staff in June 1984.
SHNPP Tech Specs will be based upon NUREG-0457.
Based on current schedules, SHNPP will not be the lead plant for this modification program.
Therefore, the first cycle inspection interval is not applicable to SHNPP.
SHNPP steam generator inservice inspection will always include samples of expanded tubes as a special subset of inspections.
