SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 (TAC NO. 71500)
By letter dated June 3,
1989, you submitted an application to revise numerous Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, (Harris) Technical Specifications including 3.4.9.1 and 3.4.9.2, REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE LIMITS.
This proposed amendnent will revise the heatup and cooldcwn limits for the reactor coolant system and the associated Low Temperature Overpressure Protection (LTOP) system setpoints.
In our review of this all.ndment application, we find that we need the information requested in the enclosure to cooylete our review.
Please respond to this request within 30 days of receipt of this letter.

Major assumptions used in the current analysis as well as the analysis presented in the Final Safety Analysis Report.

Brief discussion of the method/computer code used in the analysis.
c.
Transient Reactor Coolant System (RCS) pressure at various PORV setpoints.
d.
Comparison of the peak RCS transient pressure with the allowable P/T limits to confirm that the Appendix G P/T limits will not be v io lated.
