Dear Mr. Goldberg:

SUBJECT:

UNIMPLEMENTED GENERIC SAFETY ISSUES AT TURKEY POINT UNITS 3

AND 4 On April 25, 1990 the staff issued Generic Letter 90-04 which requested infor-

-mation concerning the implementation status of certain generic safety issues (GSIs) at your facility.

Based on your response to this Generic Letter, dated June 27, 1990 (L-90-216),

and subsequent letters dated September 28, 1990 (L-90-336),

and October 31, 1990 (L-90-380),

and our own records and discussions with your staff, we have updated our database on GSI implementation status.

The results of this effort were presented to the Commission at a meeting on October 25, 1990.

The enclosure to this letter summarizes the staff's understanding of the current status of those GSIs which remain unimplemented at Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.

He appreciate the assistance you provided in responding to Generic Letter 90-04 and we encourage your timely completion of those GSIs listed in the enclosure.

Please contact me if you have any questions or comments about the enclosed information.
