50-250 and 50-251 Status of Implementation Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS Events Generic Letter 83-28 Items 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 By letter L-90-95 dated April 5,
- 1990, Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) provided the implementation status of actions required from Generic Letter (GL) 83-28, for Turkey Point Units 3
and 4.
Since issuance of the April 5, 1990 letter, the remaining actions required to comply with the requirements of items 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 have been completed by FPL.
A summary of these actions is as follows:
0 Item 3.2.1:
FPL has performed a re-review of existing maintenance procedures to ensure that post maintenance testing adequately verifies component capability to perform all required safety functions.
The re-review of the above procedures was completed on October 17, 1989.
o Item 3.2.2:
FPL has performed a re-review of test and maintenance procedures to ensure that appropriate vendor and engineering recommendations for testing and maintenance are incorporated.
The re-review of the above items was completed on August 1, 1990.
