50-250 and 50-251 Inte rated Schedule Monthl Summar Attached is the Summary Report of the Integrated Schedule generated for the month of February 1989.
The schedules discussed in this report reflect information as of the issuance date of February 17, 1989.
Updated information will be provided in subsecpxent reports.
The changes to the schedules discussed in this summary have been reviewed with the NRC Staff in accordance with the Integrated Schedule Plan.
FPL will issue the next monthly schedule in March and the next 6 month Integrated Schedule Report following the May 1989 schedule.
IS MOD 576, Air Start Motors Upgrade, is scheduled to be completed by the end of the current Unit 4
refueling outage.
This modification (the addition of a second air start motor) was one of several FPL evaluated to improve emergency diesel generator (EDG) reliability in response to Generic Letter 84-15,,
"Proposed Staff Actions to Improve and Maintain Diesel Generator Reliability."
FPL would like to reschedule this modification for completion to coincide with completion of the Emergency Power System Enhancement Project.
This extension would allow time to resolve certain procurement related
- issues, permit, consideration of design alternatives based on the design of the new EDGs, and to rethink the proposed design in general to'eflect the needs and desires of the current
'operations and maintenance personnel for maintainability, operability and reliability.
