~Findin As required by 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion XV, and Topical Quality Requirement 15.0 of the Topical Quality Assurance Report No.

FPL TQAR 1-76A, as implemented by paragraph 5.4.2 of QA procedure 15.2, open nonconformance reports shall be periodically reviewed by the appropriate Quality Control organization to assure that. response to and closure of nonconformances are being conducted in a timely manner.

Contrary to the above, a nonconformance report (NCR) written on June 8, 1979, concerning the installation of PC/M 79-42 had not been assigned an "NCR No." as required by Quality Procedure 15.2 and was not being tracked for dispositioning in a timely manner.

~Res onse The reference NCR has been assigned a number for tracking, has been closed out, and is now on file as a quality assurance record Based on these actions, compliance has been achieved.

This finding is considered to have been an isolated

case, because.

the individual who wrote the NCR was also the "acting" QC Super-visor while the QC Supervisor was on vacation.

In his capacity as "acting" QC Supervisor, this individual approved the NCR without assigning it a number.
