Ihe turbine trip was initiated by the moisture separator high level trip. The return to power was delayed due to an unexplained overspeed trip on the turbine driven auxiliary feedpump.

Ihe unit was returned to service at 1631 hours0.0189 days <br />0.453 hours <br />0.0027 weeks <br />6.205955e-4 months <br /> on 910315. A study of the system disturbance induced trip is being initiated.

MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES March 1991 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered the reporting period at 100% Rated Thermal Power.

A turbine/reactor trip occurred at 0651 hours0.00753 days <br />0.181 hours <br />0.00108 weeks <br />2.477055e-4 months <br /> on 910313 during a severe system electrical disturbance caused by downed 345 KV and 765 KV transmission lines during an ice storm.

1113 The reactor is critical.

1258 The reactor is in Mode 1.

1631 The main generator is paralleled to the system power grid.

Commenced unit power increase to 45%

RTP.

03/16/91 0348 The unit is at 454 RTP. Unit power is being held at 454 RTP per the system power dispatcher.

0735 Released by system dispatcher to increase power.

Commenced unit power increase to 904 RTP.

1931 The unit is at 904 RTP. Unit power is being held at 904-RTP for main turbine valve testing.
