Your response to Generic Letter 83-28 was provided by letter dated November 3, 1983, with updated submittals through April 3, 1986.

Items 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 of the generic letter requested information concerning the preventative maintenance and surveillance program to ensure reliable reactor trip breaker operation.

We have completed our review of your responses to the above items and find the responses to be acceptable.

The staff's safety evaluations of these matters are provided as Enclosures 1 and 2.
