Dear Mr. Knighton:
In accordance with 10CFR 50.55a (a)(3)(i),
we request authorization to use ASME Code Case N-403 for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2, and 3.
Code Case N-403, entitled "Reassembly of Subsection NF Component and Piping Supports",
was approved by the ASME Board on February 14, 1985.
This code case permits the reassembly of component and piping supports from completed supports that have not been in operating service, or from parts and materials of disassembled component and piping supports that have not been in operating service, provided all required documentation is available and the applicable code requirements are met.
We request you provide us with authorization for use of ASME Code Case N-403 as soon as possible.
