RE UEST FOR ACTION UNDER 10 CFR 52.206 Notice is hereby given that by letter dated December 18,
- 1984, Myron L.
Scott on behalf of the Coalition for Responsible Energy Education, Tempe, Az.,
has requested that the NRC withhold issuance of a low-power license for Unit 1 of the Arizona Public Service Company's Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station until appropriate reviews for safety impact are undertaken of certain incentive plans initiated by the company and the Arizona Corporation Commission and questions about the adequacy of funding for State and local emergency plans are resolved.
Mr. Scott's letter is being treated as a request for action under 10 CFR 5 2.206 and, accordingly, appropriate action will be taken on the request within a reasonable time.
A copy of the request is available for public inspection in the Commission's Public Document Room at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
