Conformance to Regulatory Guide 1.97 - Palo Verde By letter dated April 14, 1983, you provided a response to Generic Letter No. 82-33 concerning the requirements for emergency response capability defined in Supplement No.
1 to NUREG-0737.
With regard to the guidance of Regulatory Guide 1.97, your response provided schedule information and a
detailed description of Palo Verde's conformance to the regulatory guide.
We have reviewed your response to Regulatory Guide 1.97 and conclude that you have provided an explicit commitment on conformance to the guidance in the regulatory guide except for the items discussed in the enclosed Interim Report.
We request that you provide a response to the open items identified in the Interim Report.
You should also review the report and provide any comments you may have regarding the content.
Please advise us as to when you plan to respond to this request.
