TENDERING OF APPLICATION FOR LICENSES - PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 On October 1, 1979, we received your tendered application for operating licenses for the Palo Verde Station.

The tendered application included the following documents:

General Information 2.

Final Safety Analysis Report 3.

Antitrust Information 4.

Security Plan As a result of the recent accident at the Three Mile Island facility, review resources within the Office of Nuclear Reactor'Regulation, which would normally be available for the review of your application, have been assigned to several high priority tasks.

Therefore, we are not able to perform an acceptance review of your application prior to the spring of 1986.

We understand that you plan. on tender ing the Environmental Report portion of your application at a later date.

In this regard, we wish to advise you that your application will not be docketed until we have determined that all portions of the application, including the Environmental

Report, have satis-factorily completed an acceptance review by the staff.
