10 CFR 20.203(f) requires that each container of licensed material bear a durable, clearly visible label identifying the radioactive contents and providing sufficient information to permit individuals handling or using the containers, or working in the vicinity thereof, to take precautions to avoid or minimize exposures.
Contrary to the above, a large number of plastic bags containing radioactive material were observed on August 21, 1978, in an under-ramp storage
- area, without identifying labels.

The bags in question, which were all in the radiation controlled area, were properly labeled prior to the inspector's departure from the site.
Appropriate personnel have been instructed to properly label such material in the future.

10 CFR 19.11 requires, in part, that each licensee post carrent copies of 10 CFR 19, 10 CFR 20, the license and referenced documents, and operating procedures or, if posting of a document is not practicable, the licensee may post a notice which describes the document and states where it may be examined.
Posted documents and notices are required to appear in a sufficient number of places to permit individuals engaged in licensed activities to observe them on the way to or from any particular licensed activity location to which the document applies.
Contrary to the above, the required documents or a notice were not posted in a place to permit individuals to observe them on the way to 'or from licensed activities in the reactor auxiliary building.
This was observed on August 24, 1978.

B In compliance with 10 CFR 19.11, all required material has been posted in the hallway of the Reactor Auxiliary Building.
The klealth sics Supervisor will ensure that posting is continued as required the future.
