The safety evaluation for SEP Topic. V-6 was presented in NUREG-0569, "Evaluation of the Integrity of SEP Reactor Vessels, 11 whict) is_an enclosure to Reference 1.

In that safety evaluation, the staff con-cluded that Dresden 2 met the. acceptance criteria of the. topic, except for the following three items:

Since that safety.evalua.tion was issued, your have made an application to amend the Dresden 2 Technic.al Specifications {Reference 2) as they pertain to Appendices G and H to 10 CFR Part 50.

will be addressed and resolved by the staff. In order to avoid duplication of effort, we are deleting these two items from the SEP topic.

Item 3 was addressed and resolved 1n SEP Topic V-4, "Piping and Safe-End Integrity." In the safety evaluation for that topic (Reference 3), the staff concluded that the safe-end inspection and.replacement program for Dresden 2 meets the topic acceptance criteria as detailed in NUREG-0313, Revision 1. "Technical Report on Material Selection and Processing Guide-1 ines for BWR Coolant Pressure Boundary Piping."

Based. on these findings, we conclude that Items 1 thru 3 have been adequately resolved such that SEP Topic V-6 is now complete.
