OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT ONE OCTOBER, 1979 10-1 to 10-31 Unit Orie was shutdown for entire month, continuing preparation for chemical cleaning and refueling.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT TWO.

10-1 to 10-13 OCTOBER, 1979 Unit Two started the month oper-ating at an average power level of 709 MWe.

On October 13, at 0440, Unit Two was taken off line for a hanger and anchor bolt in-spection per I.E.Bulletins 79-14 and 79-02, respectively.

10-20 to 10-21 The Unit was placed on the line at 1952 on October 20 but scrammed on moisture separation drain tank high level at 2210.

10-21 to 10-31 The Unit was again placed on the line at 1648 on October 21 and operated the remainder of the month at an average power level of 653 MWe, with a capacity factor of 66.2% for the entire month.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT THREE 10-1 to 10-25 OCTOBER, 1979 Unit Three started the month operating at an average power level of 520 MWe.

On October 25 at 2347, the inadvertent jarring of a relay cabinet by a shift foreman during inspection re-sulted in a ESS MG set AC and DC feed trip and subsequent reactor scram.

10-26 to 10-31 The Unit was placed on the sys-tem at 1302 and operated contin-uously for the remainder of the month at an average load of 421 MWe with a capacity factor of 62.8% for. the entire month.

The Unit is limited to 550 MWe for investigation of high off-gas activity.
