To discuss NHPC's responses to Generic letter 94-03, "Intergranular Stress Corrosion Cracking of Core Shrouds in Boiling Water Reactors," for Nine Mile Point Unit 1.
Issues to be discussed include:
the last visual inspection of the H8 weld.
- the stress loading of the H8 weld.
- safety analysis and the force balance at the H8 weld for all postulated transients and accidents including the probability of the initiating events.
effectiveness of stress relief heat treatment in minimizing HB weld residual stress.
