This letter con'firms the dates of April 18-22,
1988 for the
NRC environmental
qualification (EQ) inspection for Nine Mile Point Nuclear
Power Station, Unit 2.
These
dates
were established
during
a telephone
conversation
on March 9,
1988
between
Mr. J. Jirousek of your organization
and Mr. Leonard
Cheung of
thi.s'ffice.
The inspection will take place at the corporate office and at the
plant site.
(
A management
entrance
meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
on April 18,
1988
with a management exit meeting tentatively scheduled
for 10:00 a.m.
on
April 22,
1988 at the corporate office.
A plant walkdown inspection of
specific
EQ equipment is planned for Wednesday,
April 20,
1988.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of 10 CFR 50.49
EQ program,
including
preservation
of qualified status of equipment.
2.
Review of
EQ documentation files.
3.
Physical
inspection of equipment selected
from the
EQ Master List.
Two weeks prior to the inspection
we will require
one .copy of each
document
identified in attachment
1, items
1 through
6 for review.
A duplicate
copy of this document
should
be sent to:
