1987 to'July 19,
1987 at
Nine Mile Point Units
1 and 2, Scriba,
A summary of the findings
was presented
to =Mr.
R. Abbott, Mr. J. Aldrich and other members
of, your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
Based
on our review, the June
18,
1987 licensee identified Technical
Specification Fire Protection
Program violation, involving missed fire watch
patrols,
was the third such related violation in recent
months.
It appears
that your corrective actions to preclude
recurrence
have
been ineffective.
As
a result,
a Notice of Violation (Appendix A), has
been
issued.
This violation
has
been categorized
by severity level according to 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C
You are required to respond to this violation and in
preparing your response
you should follow the instructions in Appendix A.
The response
requested
by this letter is not subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget
as required
by the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1980,
PL96-511.
