and to the discussions
of our findings held by Mr. Gramm with Mr. R.G.
Matlock and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Examinations of installed plant hardware identified two instances
where
a
safety related
raceway
was routed in a non-safety related structure.
These
examples of unacceptable
design control
have
been cited in the enclosed
Notice
of Violation, Appendix A, which has
been categorized
as Severity Level
IV in
accordance
with 10 CFR 2, Appendix C.
Sufficient design control is necessary
to ensure that Class
IE circuits are appropriately protected for design basis
events.
Your review of the problem should assure
that proper routing controls
have
been established
in other plant areas.
