tended
by yourself and other members of your staff and by myself and other

bers of the
NRC staff.
The subjects
discussed
at these
meetings
are
included
in the
NRC Management
Meeting Report
No. 50-410/85-09.
These meetings
served
as
a forum to discuss
the
scope of the Engineering Assur-
ance audits to be conducted
in the near future at Nine Mile Point, Unit 2.
We
acknowledge
your
plans
to
integrate
the
conduct
of
a
simultaneous
equality
Assurance
audit with your engineering
technical
audit.
Your selection
of the
Reactor
Core Isolation Cooling
System is acceptable
pending our review of your
previously conducted plant system audits.
We request
you submit information regarding
design audits performed to date
on
Reactor
Controls, Inc.,
and additional
copies of the previously conducted tech-
nical audits covering the Residual
Heat Removal,
Service Water and
AC Distribu-
tion systems..
We intend to monitor your forthcoming audit at selected
stages prior to, during
and after the audit.
The discussions
held in regard to the Engineering
Assurance
audit have
been
most
beneficial
and
have resulted
in
a mutually acceptable
audit
approach
for the
forthcoming effort.
