1 During the review of HPA B-48,":",Adequacy of Station Electric Distribution System Voltages,"

a concern on an a@unctive issue was identified by our contractor.

This concern was rel;ated to the motor starting voltage for a 450 HP core spray pump powered on the 4 KY bus.

We have reviewed the concern and have concluded that the diesel generator maintains voltages within specified limits to motors during load sequenc-ing to accelerate them to rated speed and torque without any adverse effects on safeguard equipment and other Class-'lE equipment.

The basis for our conclusion is provided in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
