This refers to the telephone conversation be'tween Mr. T. Perkins, General Superintendent, Nuclear Generation and Mr. E. Brunner, Acting Director, Division of Resident and Project Inspection relative to the occur~ence in which'both emergency diesel generators were found to be inoperable on August 18, 1981.
The specific actions you have taken and which are the subject of this correspondence are contained in the enclosure to this letter.
In accordance with Section 2;790(d) of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title. 10, Cod'e of Federal. Regulations, documentation of findings of your control and accounting.procecQres for safeguarding special nuclear materials and your facility security measures for physical protection are deemed to be commercial or financial information within the meaning of 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4) and shall be subject to disclosure only in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 9. 12; therefore, enclosure to this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
We further understand that you will maintain these measures in effect until further notification from this office.
Additionally, if any further instance(s),
such as occurred on August 18,
- 1981, are indicated, notify the NRC immediately as additional actions may be deemed warranted.
