TRANSMITTAL OF CIRCUIT BREAKER INFORMATION GERMANE TO NRC BULLETIN 88-10, "NONCONFORMING MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKERS (TAC NOS.

71287 AND 71288)

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that PGIrE circuit breaker purchase order (PO) 724849, which was issued to Nutherm International, Incorporated,(NI),

was potentially filled with circuit breakers that may not have verifiable traceabi lity to the circuit breaker manufacturer.

NI procured the circuit breakers, which are associated with Nutherm job number PGE-1762, from the Westinghouse Electric Company, which may have obtained them from supply networks which are known to be contaminated with refurbished cir cuit breakers.

We suggest that you contact NI regarding specific information concerning PO document

numbers, dates, and circuit breaker traceability.
