Mr. Tim Debey had several of the Colorado School of Mines staff and students attend. The discussion was to obtain clarifications on the RAI responses submitted by USGS letter dated Nov. 16, 2012, in response to NRC RAI letter dated October 2, 2012.

Specific points included (RAI numbers referenced from the NRC October 2, 2012 letter):

1. RAI 9 - please identify the 8 vs 12 wt. percent fuel for both OC and LCC. Please provide dimensions of the fuel, control rods and components. Please provide the delayed neutron fraction, all rods out keff, and control rod worths. Please provide a power distribution profile for the OC and LCC.
2. RAI 10 - please provide the fuel temperature coefficient for the OC and LCC.
3. RAI 12 - please provide the dimensions of the unit cell, pressure drops, and a diagram of the RELAP model. Please provide the RELAP model assumptions. Please provide the response to a pulse and uncontrolled rod withdraw.
4. RAI 15.3 - please explain the use of 22 kw/fuel element and provide the results.
5. RAI 24.9 - please explain how the use of COMPLY, and the results.
6. RAI 26 d & e - please explain entire response.

As discussed above, clarifications to the RAI Responses will be provided by the end of January, 2013.
