CLOSED MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - PREDECISIONAL ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION
Dear Mr. Hampton:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. J. E. Birchfield of your staff and Mr. R. E. Carroll of the NRC on December 2, 1996, concerning a predecisional enforcement conference requested by us which has been scheduled for December 18, 1996, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The purpose of this conference is to discuss an apparent violation regarding the potential loss of Unit 2 and 3 steam generators as decay heat removal paths due to the failure to properly install associated main steam safety valve spindle nut cotter pins. The location of the conference will be at the Region II office, 101 Marietta Street, N.W., Suite 2900, Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting will be closed as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public: Final Policy Statement" (September 20. 1994: 59 FR 48340).
