Dear Mr. Hampton:
Thank you for your response of September 8, 1997, to our Notice of Violation issued on
August 4, 1997, concerning activities conducted at your Oconee facility. With regard to your
denial of Example 1 of Violation A, we have reviewed the information provided and
determined that you did not provide sufficient information for our review on mitigation of
transients by the auxiliary instrument air system.
Based on my telephone. call on October 1, 1997, with Mr. J. E. Burchfield of your staff, we
understand that you plan on supplementing your response on this issue by October 10, 1997.
We will complete our evaluation of your August 4 response based on this additional
information.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
