KEWAUNEE POWER STATION-ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF WITHDRAWAL OF SECURITY-RELATED EXEMPTION REQUEST (TAC NO. MF3011)
Dear Mr. Heacock:
By letter dated October 8, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13290A153), Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK), requested an exemption from certain requirements in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 73.55, "Requirements for physical protection of licensed activities in nuclear power reactors against radiological sabotage," related to security manpower. In addition, in a letter dated April11, 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14104A885), DEK responded to a request for additional information related to this exemption request. The enclosures to these letters contained safeguards information and were withheld from public disclosure.
In a letter dated December 4. 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14349A416), DEK requested the proposed exemption request to be withdrawn. In accordance with the request in DEK's December 4, 2014, letter, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has discontinued its review of the proposed security-related exemption request and has closed Task Assignment Control No. MF3011.
